Approach

The thinking behind the writing.

When the product is complex and the audience is skeptical, better copy begins with better questions. Before I write, I determine what the business needs to accomplish, what matters to the audience, and where the message is breaking down.

01

Find the Real Problem

I use customer research, competitive intelligence, search behavior, and performance data to pressure-test the brief. The goal is to solve the right problem before committing to the answer.

02

Build Beyond the Asset

I create messaging frameworks, voice systems, and content structures that teams can use across channels. Each new piece should strengthen what comes next, not force the team to start over.

03

Tie the Work to an Outcome

The work should change something: how customers understand a product, how confidently a team communicates, or whether an audience takes action. I measure copy by what it helps the business accomplish.

Curiosity, Applied

Curiosity is part of the job.

I like stepping into a business with a lot to explain and learning how it actually works. I stay with the questions until I understand what customers need to hear, what the team is trying to accomplish, and where the two have fallen out of step. That approach has taken me from enterprise SaaS and global membership organizations to a consumer brand watched by millions.

The best work happens when people can say what they actually think. I make room for that conversation, find the idea capable of carrying the work forward, and turn it into messaging the team can confidently build from.

The goal is not one good piece of writing. It is a better way to keep making good work without starting from scratch.
